Music News : Update on The New JLS Album…
Britain’s biggest selling boyband JLS have recently spent time in the studio recording their sophomore album, which is set for a Fall release.
When you’ve sold a million copies of your debut album, your budget widens and more impressive producers are willing to work with you. The quality is bound to step up a notch or two on this second album. Band member Marvin has confirmed that producers Stargate (Beyonce’s ‘Irreplacable’), Tony Gad (Beyonce’s ‘If I Were A Boy’) & Labrinth (Tinie Tempah’s ‘Pass Out’) will be making contributions to the project. The band who have signed to US label Jive Records will launch a massive chart assault stateside this spring with their first US single ‘Everybody In Love’. They will also be holed up in an LA studio to record the album and are looking to work with American R&B artist Jason Derulo. The band recently added more dates to their sold-out arena tour, which begins in December.
Everybody wants the ‘Rihanna‘ sound these days. First Leona Lewis, and now her hugely successful X Factor counterparts JLS. The lads who are currently in LA recording their new album already have a strong line-up for the project, and now they’ve added Brian Kennedy to the line-up (the mastermind behind Rihanna’s monster hit ‘Disturbia’).
The lads have also confirmed that they’ll also be going into the studio with Soulshock & Karlin, Wayne Wilkins, Andre Merritt and Lindy Robbins. Wilkins and Merritt both helmed Cheryl Cole’s hit single ‘Fight For This Love’.
With their phenomenal album sales and continuing success, it was only right that their budget is raised further enabling them to work with bigger and better US producers. I have no doubt that the new album will be a massive step-up from their debut in terms of quality.
