You’ve got the long awaited reappearance of Mr Shayne Ward , The 2nd single by Olly Murs , & Alexandra Burke’s 6th single in a big ‘X FACTOR Extravaganza post’
So then Shayne Ward is finally back into the limelight with his brand new single “Gotta Be Somebody”. The video shot in L.A has in the last week been premiered. Gotta Be Somebody is the official lead single from the anticipated upcoming third album “Obsession” which will available from November 15th – The rockish feel to the song has now been replaced with synth beats and a nice dose of auto-tune as you might know. Its grown on me I’ll admit that. As for the new music video, it’s a blatent Trey Songs approach. There’s not really much of a concept behind the video , just Shayne Ward dressed in not very much at all. There’s not much else you can say about it. Shayne is appearing on the X Factor this coming weekend in a bid to kickstart the hype for the new single/album era.
You can check the video out below….
Next we have the new single from the beautiful Alexandra Burke whose record company have decided to release the ballad influenced track “The Silence” from her debut album. The track will serve as the new release from her repackage of her “Overcome” debut album. The single noticeably has a few little differences to the original album track with some new adlibs and a little choir feature towards the end.. The video has also been premiered for us, so you can check that brand new video out below. The video is a perfect type of the video for the track , it blends and fits perfectly well with the black and white theme. Simple but it does the job!
LAST but not least the new video for Olly Murs’ latest single has also been unveiled recently.
‘Thinking Of Me‘ is the second single from his upcoming debut self-titled album which is released November 29th. It will be interesting to see if Olly can bag a second #1 hit in the UK with the new Steve Robson-produced single. As for the new music video, it’s a simple but effective visual effort! I don’t know what it is but when the videos for some songs are released you seem to like the track a little bit more. I wasn’t overly keen on the track previously but I think its a grower.. In the newly premiered visuals you see Olly putting himself in some pretty ‘risky’ life-threatening situations, you can see it for yourself below…!
That’s it for the X Factor themed post. Hope you enjoyed…!
Ok so I keep forgetting to do this… But i am gonna try to keep making this a regular inclusion..
Bruno Mars has dominated the UK singles charts after debut release ‘Just The Way You Are (Amazing)’ greatly outsold nearest rival Taio Cruz to reach number one.
The Hawaiian-born musician, who recently lent his vocals to Travie McCoy‘s top five hit ‘Billionaire’, sold almost double that of ‘Dynamite‘, leaving the former chart-topper in the runner-up spot on this week’s chart.
Mars’s arrival ends X Factor victor Alexandra Burke’s two-week run at the top of the chart with Start Without You, which today drops four places to five.
The highest new entry this week is Must Be The Music winner Emma’s Imagination, whose latest single ‘Focus’ makes it to seven and becomes her second Top 10 single this month after ‘This Day’.
Also charting highly with a new release is Italian DJ Alex Gaudino, best known for 2007’s ‘Destination Calabria’, who scrapes into the Top 10 with ‘I’m In Love (I Wanna Do It)’.
Past the Top 10, three former number ones take a tumble-down the charts, as Olly Murs’s ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’ falls from five to 12, Flo Rida’s ‘Club Can’t Handle Me’ slips five spots to 14 and Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup settle in at 15 with ‘We No Speak Americano’.
Nestling in between the fallers at 13 is a new entry from Enrique Iglesias and current X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger entitled ‘Heartbeat’, while new Glee regular Charice makes her singles chart debut at 19 with ‘Pyramid’.
The Top 10 in full:
1. (-) Bruno Mars: ‘Just The Way You Are (Amazing)’
2. (2) Taio Cruz: ‘Dynamite’
3. (3) Katy Perry: ‘Teenage Dream’
4. (4) The Script: ‘For The First Time’

Brilliant news for Alexandra Burke fans as she has finally premiered the visuals for her upcoming new single “Start Without You”. The video is a very simple and sassy enough affair but it does the job. Alexandra looks stunning in the video as always as she is featured giving gym lessons to a bunch of arrogant, oiled up men!!!
The video and the song have encountered a few delays, with the release date of the single being pushed back , so obviously this meant a changeup in the treatment for the video. It was rumoured that the video was going to be based on a summer esque theme but with the date pushed back and the summer season advancing away, the visuals were changed. For the better? Hmm not too sure about that! The song/video also features MC Laza Morgan!
Check the video out below :
The song is definitely a grower and no doubt many will be repeating it come the release date which is September 5th!
It will be interesting to see whether chart success follows for the former X Factor winner. I for one hope this brings about more success for her for sure!
Alexandra Burke performs ‘All Night Long’ on National Lottery…
Last night on the UK’s Natonal Lottery, Alexandra Burke performed her latest new single, ‘All Night Long’. The 21-year-old danced the evening away rocking a new mohican-style ponytail and a leather catsuit.
Anyway, the performance was pretty decent but the routine was simple but cute. I loved how Alexandra looked . Meanwhile, the singer told National Lottery host Melinda Messenger that she will be touring in 2011, with dates being announced at the end of the year.
