Quite a few weeks late on this new video by one of the breakout stars of 2010 , Bruno Mars but its worth the wait.
Bruno Mars has recently premiered the music video for “Grenade”, the official second single from his debut album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans”. The midtempo ballad was produced by The Smeezingtons.
The music video was filmed in Los Angeles and was directed by Nabil (Kanye West, Estelle). The features follows Bruno as he goes through a lot of hard work and effort dragging a piano through the streets of Los Angeles , in the end it’s all for nothing as the girl he would catch a grenade for simply has other ideas leaving Bruno pretty distraught and contemplating suicide. Oh sad ending right?
Really dramatic, really emotional, really clever. This video is a definite winner in my opinion, even if, at the end of it, Mars has lost everything. That’s the price you pay for falling in love though I guess. I bet there’s so many women lining up out there for Bruno Mars to fall in love with them though!! Ha. Credit goes to Bruno though for keeping up the pace of his success in 2010 with this impressive and heartfelt track!
What did you think of the “Grenade” video?
Ok so I keep forgetting to do this… But i am gonna try to keep making this a regular inclusion..
Bruno Mars has dominated the UK singles charts after debut release ‘Just The Way You Are (Amazing)’ greatly outsold nearest rival Taio Cruz to reach number one.
The Hawaiian-born musician, who recently lent his vocals to Travie McCoy‘s top five hit ‘Billionaire’, sold almost double that of ‘Dynamite‘, leaving the former chart-topper in the runner-up spot on this week’s chart.
Mars’s arrival ends X Factor victor Alexandra Burke’s two-week run at the top of the chart with Start Without You, which today drops four places to five.
The highest new entry this week is Must Be The Music winner Emma’s Imagination, whose latest single ‘Focus’ makes it to seven and becomes her second Top 10 single this month after ‘This Day’.
Also charting highly with a new release is Italian DJ Alex Gaudino, best known for 2007’s ‘Destination Calabria’, who scrapes into the Top 10 with ‘I’m In Love (I Wanna Do It)’.
Past the Top 10, three former number ones take a tumble-down the charts, as Olly Murs’s ‘Please Don’t Let Me Go’ falls from five to 12, Flo Rida’s ‘Club Can’t Handle Me’ slips five spots to 14 and Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup settle in at 15 with ‘We No Speak Americano’.
Nestling in between the fallers at 13 is a new entry from Enrique Iglesias and current X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger entitled ‘Heartbeat’, while new Glee regular Charice makes her singles chart debut at 19 with ‘Pyramid’.
The Top 10 in full:
1. (-) Bruno Mars: ‘Just The Way You Are (Amazing)’
2. (2) Taio Cruz: ‘Dynamite’
3. (3) Katy Perry: ‘Teenage Dream’
4. (4) The Script: ‘For The First Time’

How did this guy not win/get any further on X Factor in the same year that Leon Jackson won I will never ever know! Maybe I’m just being biased because of the covers he has recently been posting online but i think he should have gone a lot further in the competition!
You can follow the man himself on twitter @DDBMusic
Below is his own unique take on Syco’s newest recruit Labrinth’s debut single “Let The Sun Shine”
He also has performed his own version of Bruno Mars’ feel good anthem Just The Way You Are! These are only a selection of his You Tube covers, you can check out many more on his You Tube channel!
I came across Bluey Robinson‘s music a while back and I’ve been really impressed with his talent ever since. He has recently released his version of the Bruno Mars and Cee Lo Green track “Fuck You” which has been a really popular hit stateside! His take on the song is really original and quite funny. I’m really impressed by Bluey‘s vocals and think he has a lot of potential! I personally can’t wait for an album from him!
Follow Bluey on twitter @BlueyRobinson. Bluey is currently hard at work preparing for his support slot on Tinie Tempah’s upcoming headline tour coming to a city near you!!

The video to one of the most anticipated feel good songs of the year has officially dropped! The guy who has killed it this year Mr Bruno Mars is behind the video and it comes as he geares up for a release of the hit smash in the UK which is expected to be released October 4th! I can’t help thinking Mr Mars could have a number one on his hands here?!
Bruno hasnt disappointed one bit this year and he’s shown that yet again with the video for his debut single “Just The Way You Are!One word describes this video perfectly well! CREATIVITY! It’s absolutely amazing in terms of creativeness with the tape feature! Very cool! The new video, which was directed by Ethan Lader and inspired by the artwork of Erika Iris Simmons perfectly compliments the nature of the track! Everything just fits so well, I’ve said it once but I love the tape feature , its so damn cool! Bruno is so damn cool!
That Bruno Mars is very much the man of the moment isn’t he? He’s just killing it at the moment, after an amazing recently in the UK at YoYo’s in London alongside his fellow American Mike Posner, he has now released the video for his official debut single which is released shortly in the UK , October 4th to be exact!
Below are some pictures and videos firstly of the latest emerging talent killing his set! He graced the infamous stage at west London’s weekly hip-spot, YoYo (in the Notting Hill Arts Club) for the first time and performed brilliantly. Like any YoYo night, the small basement club was packed beyond capacity with fans, industry heads and London’s contrived ‘cool kids’. He sure has the ability to sing live , he has that charismatic and playful sort of character which everybody warms to and loves, and i think Bruno has a bright future indeed!

I would have loved to attended his debut performance in London! Wish i could have! Part of Bruno’s amazing set list were ‘Billionaire’, ‘Nothin‘ On You‘ but both with his own twist considering the rapper element was missing from the scene! He sang the songs that inspired him to write the hooks as an introduction which is so creative and cool! Liked that!
He owned the stage and although he doesn’t possess the most amazing quality of voices he utilises his emotions perfectly to take his voice and performance to another level! I also love the partnership between him and his songwriting partner Phil which was shown in full effect during the hit smash “Nothing on You”. From the video below you can clearly see how effortlessly the duo managed to win over the packed crowd!
He finished off the set with the amazing debut single ‘Just The Way You Are‘. I think its gotta be one of the most inspiring and beautifully written and produced songs I’ve heard so far this year! It’s one of those feel good love songs which girls are gonna absolute love and dream about for a long while!

Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars is finally getting ready to release his as-of-yet untitled debut album due later this year! He has already scored hits with “Nothin’ on You” by B.o.B, and “Billionaire” by Travie McCoy. Mars also released EP “It’s Better If You Don’t Understand” in support of his recent success. Now we have the first official single “Just The Way You Are” from his debut album. The piano-driven power ballad was produced by his production team The Smeezingtons.
