Skepta shows off his Grime knowledge on Pocket TV. In this edition of Pocket TV ‘MasterGrime’ Grime edition of ‘Master Mind’. Skepta gets it in….. Check out the lil intervew below… Skepta’s Rescue Me reached number 14 in the UK Charts yesterday. Great news for the grime star…
Skepta has become well-known as part of the grime scene as part of Roll Deep and Boy Better Know. Now determined to step into the solo limelight he’s releasing new single Rescue Me this week following 0n from the success of previous single “Bad Boy”
A real presence on and off the stage, DJ and producer Skepta has made it his mission in recent years to bring the UK Grime scene into the mainstream. Committed 100% to his music, the Tottenham based rapper has had blinding success performing all over the world, without even releasing an album.
Skepta has a very bright future ahead of him. Rescue Me is a strong track and should easily see him glide towards the top of the UK chart. Radio has shown a lot of support for Skepta which is refreshing considering Skepta is still an independent artist. Obviously now since his hookup with Diddy for the “Hello Good Morning Remix”, more and more doors will open for Skepta. I wish him every success!

The ‘Na Na (Boy Better Know!)’ remix features Skepta, of recent ‘Bad Boy’ fame, and is one of N-Dubz more edgy releases. It’s a really up-tempo track with a grime-influenced fusion of R&B with drum and bass beats. The sound is slick and well produced, and the video parallels this. It focuses on the visual contrast of a very daytime, albeit gritty and real London merged with dark scenes illuminated by shots of fire and vertical strip lights. Skepta delivers on this track, his inclusion takes it to a whole new level and he makes the remix without a shadow of a doubt.Impressive for sure.
This track is a great balance of Tulisa’s attitude-driven vocals (we’re loving her new dark hair by the way, she looks beautiful!), Dappy’s characteristic melodic rap style and Skepta’s blistering interception. Fazer doesn’t play a huge part on this version but it’s great nonetheless, and despite being a less mainstream sound for N-Dubz it’s still massively catchy and shows why they got to where they are.
‘Against All Odds’ Tour started yesterday …make sure you check it out when it hits your city!
