Tinie Tempah | Invincible (feat Kelly Rowland)

Tinie Tempah premiered today the music video for “Invincible”, the official fourth single taken from his debut album “Disc-Overy”!

I’ll go straight in and talk about the new music video…well…it’s basically Tinie ‘recapping‘ all the success he’s achieved in this very short period of time. Sold-out gigs, fan loving, #1 hits, etc, mixed with scenes of Mr Tempah at an ‘undisclosed’ location – wearing a flashy and pretty extravagant suit – singing the tune. I was hoping to see more of Kelly Rowland in the video , only caught a few glimpses of her. Quite disappointed with that aspect!

Invincible featuring Kelly Rowland – is shaping as a massive opportunity in regards of a crack at the American market in my opinion, the fact that he chose this single rather than the Ellie Goulding assisted track Wonderman only goes to prove this theory. It just goes to show how far Tinie Tempah has come this year, he is well on his way to increasing his popularity with every move he makes! Good luck to him , he deserves every bit of success going!

Tinie definitely could have another hit on his hands here!!!

Chipmunk | Champion feat Chris Brown + | Flying High | Warm Up Single.

British rapper Chipmunk has been hard at work on his second album and recently he unveiled the warm up single from the album – along with a new video for the track. It’s called Flying High and was released on iTunes the very same night which was an interesting move. Chip releases the new album in early 2011 and it’s titled “Transition”.

After premiering the track on DJ Mistajam’s show on 1xtra, and Zane Lowe’s show on Radio1 simultaneously,Chipmunk unveiled the video to his new single “Flying High”. I love the video production and the Safari theme.
This track grew on me a lot , I’m impressed with the hook, and its good news to hear the young rapper deviating from his recent pop releases. It’s refreshing to see him switching up the styles and bringing in a transition in his music!!

Chipmunk is one of those guys that people love to hate but secretly admire at the same time. The talk about him ‘selling out’ and becoming shit is ever-present; in fact I’m pretty sure it will never end!  However, at the end of the day, people need to realise that this guy has done very well in a very short space of time. And with the news that Chris Brown , (yes you read that right) is set to feature on his new single , then you have to applaud Chip! He knows what he wants and he will strive to get it. He knows that by getting Breezy on his single then it’s gonna open a lot of doors in the future for him. A VERY SMART MOVE!

A very good effort here, one that’s bound to be a big massive mainstream hit and a hit with the radio play lists too!, as well as one that Chris Brown fans will love as he brings his A-game for the hook.

Cheryl Cole | The Flood

I missed this one as I was having a break when it was premiered but here it is now anyway for all you Cheryl Cole fans. The Flood is set to be the second single from her new album “Messy Little Raindrops” which is out now!

The video was filmed against the dramatic backdrop of white cliffs on England’s south coast. In the video , you see Cheryl ditching the glitzy glamorous outfits and energetic dance routines and showing off a more vulnerable side insteadCole is seen in the video alone in a remote house, overlooking the stormy ocean with the white cliffs of England’s south coast in the distance.

The Flood is big  musical change for Cheryl, as she spends the video walking the shores alone, and in one scene, is seen tossing and turning in bed, as the lyrics suggest her lover has drowned in a shipwreck where she couldn’t save him. Cole also dons a gorgeous green gown in another part of the video, as she appears to be portraying a mermaid at sea.

Visually it’s definitely Cheryl Cole’s best efforts yet, it’s a stunning visual piece.

The song is not due for release until 3rd January! But I’m betting on another chart success for the beautiful Cheryl Cole!

Who do you think is favourite to win…..?

Jessie J | Do It Like A Dude

Jessie J is a name that is on everyone’s lips at the moment. She is capturing lots of attention with her standout to die for voice quite rightfully!

Recently she released the video for her debut single Do It Like A Dude which eventually reached the top #30 in the UK charts with absolutely minimal promotion. It’s one of those songs that does good whatever the promotion, it’s just that good! Stomp Stomp she’s arrived indeed.

Outfitted with spiky black diamonds on her lips and her signature bob, the British singer-songwriter mean mugs in an underground club while dancing with a gang of boyish dancers. Get acquainted with the U.K.’s hottest new export because she is here to stay !

One word – Fierce. A great effort for a first video. Look forward to hearing and seeing a lot more of J J Jessie J!

Mike Hough | Hero | Snippet

UK newcomer Mike Hough is preparing to launch his upcoming studio album, and one of the confirmed tracks is a song called ‘Hero’. You can listen to a snippet of the confirmed track above. Hero’ is an upbeat track with a cool influence of relaxed guitar riffs and crooning vocals, which the singer co-wrote with Jermaine Riley of FDM for his upcoming new album. The track is also produced by Kurtis of ‘The Arcade’.

What do you think of the track?

Sounds very promising.

The Wanted | Lose My Mind

After the wild success of “All Time Low” and “Heart Vacancy” on the British charts, The Wanted are set to continue their streak with the release of “Lose My Mind”. The song is the third single off their self titled debut album and will officially be released on December 26th (UK). Check out the video premiere below! Directed by Nigel Dick at Coney Island, the video has the fun factor appeal to it , speaking of factor , The Wanted also recently performed this track exclusively on the X Factor which goes to show how far the boys have come in their debut year. Very impressive.

The formula is clearly working for this boy band!

Lose My Mind looks to be another infectious big hit! Good Luck to the boys!

Devlin feat Labrinth | Let It Go

Dagenham’s very own Devlin catapulted himself into the mainstream this year, with his UK hit, Runaway featuring the gorgeous Yasmin. Since then, he’s been in high demand – most notably featuring in Tinchy Stryder’s Game Over. He continues to push his debut album ‘Bud, Sweat and Beers‘ and the latest release is the track featuring super talented producer/singer Labrinth!

I think it was just a matter of time before these teamed up to create something special!

They have been two of the success stories of the past year and I think their styles compliment each other quite well. Devlin always has that catchy/emotional chorus element in his tracks, and that’s where Labrinth comes in , cos I think Labrinth is a class act at delivering these choruses with the perfect level of emotion!

I think this track could continue the success for both these artists for sure. Right on to the video , the whole concept kinda reminds me of an Eminem style video , the production is first class.  I’m expecting big things from both these artists, and hope that they will do more tracks together.

Talay Riley | Sergeant Smash | Loick Essien | Stuttering (feat Dappy)

20-year-old Talay Riley releases his brand new single Sergeant Smash towards the end of January. By the looks of the acoustic vid filmed, the track is a bit of a smash!

Talay is becoming a familiar name in the music industry after building his profile through tours with the likes of N Dubz , Jessie J and his increasing fan base will be very happy with this latest release. All that remains for Talay is for him to rightfully secure his place in the charts. His talent deserves that!

Also releasing his single is the super talented Loick Essien who is set to release his second single. His first effort Love Drunk was an absolute tune which to this day I still love, unfortunately his label didn’t really deliver on the promotion to give the single any hope of a success. This second single entitled ‘Stuttering‘ featuring N-Dubz very own Dappy is a decent urban tune but I think I would have preferred Loick to carry on with his own material because he’s an incredible songwriter.

Loick recorded the track after he met a girl in the USA who he really liked but never got to properly talk to. He said: “This is a song about when you like someone so much the words don’t come out right and you end up stuttering. It’s something that happens to everyone and I think people can really relate to this on a personal level.”

I hope that his label can get the promo right on this attempt and give Loick a big push in the bid for some chart recognition.

You can check out the track below : The video should be available for viewing very soon! The song is due for release January 30th which could lead to a little battle between Talay and Loick!

Rihanna | What’s My Name (Feat Drake)

What’s My Name? is the second single by R&B singer Rihanna, taken from her fifth studio album, “Loud“, released on November 12, 2010.

Rihanna and Drake get up close and personal in the Philip Andelman-directed video for “What’s My Name?, they’re such a cute couple right…?

The vid was helmed by director Philip Andelman and features Ri strutting down the NYC streets in a colorful outfit and getting cozy with Drake.

FYI: “What’s My Name?” reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, marking Ri’s eighth number one hit and is currently in the top ten of the UK charts still a few weeks ahead of its official release. Now that’s pretty damn impressive!!!

WHAT DO YOU THINK of Rihanna’s new video?

Oh na na, What’s my name, oh na na…

Pixie Lott | Cant Make This Over

The beautiful Pixie Lott’s new single “Cant Make This Over” has had its video premiered recently. I was actually surprised initially that the duet with Jason Derulo “Coming Home” wasn’t picked as the next single but having seen the new video and listened to “Cant Make This Over” a few times it really has grown on me a substantial amount!

“Can’t Make This Over” is a really lovely midtempo ballad that was co-written by Eve Nelson and Daniel Bedingfield.

And as for the new video-clip, I love the reverse narrative concept of the video. It’s beautifully produced.

You can check out the visuals for the video below | Enjoy!
